Bon Appétit magazine announces the return of its
Supper Club and Café in a new location in Midtown Manhattan, September 20–26, 2009.
An eclectic roster of celebrity chefs will delight guests with delicious meals for the third
DAYTIME CAFÉ / OPEN TO THE PUBLIC:
Located at 101 West 57th Street at 6th Avenue, the Café will be open from 11AM to 3PM
for weekday lunches Monday, September 21 through Friday, September 25. The menu
features soups, sandwiches, salads and desserts from participating chefs and a daily
signature entrée from one of the celebrity chefs served from the Chef’s Table.
This year’s theme, “Grown in Manhattan,” references the nationally sourced chefs and
seasonally delicious cuisine Bon Appétit has brought to midtown Manhattan for this
renowned pop-up restaurant. The space will be styled to reflect a modern interpretation of
a quintessential farmers’ market, and will include for the first time seasonal farm-fresh
fruits, vegetables and artisanal products for sale.
Cooking demonstrations and book signings are scheduled every day in the LG Kitchen
featuring chefs José Andrés, Nate Appleman, Richard Blais, Daniel Boulud, Cat
Cora, Tom Douglas, Emeril Lagasse and Fabio Viviani, and pastry chefs Gina
DePalma, Matt Lewis and Renato Poliafito, Nancy Olson and Alex Stupak.
“Bon Appétit is always looking to give more to our audience,” says Paul Jowdy, Publisher
and Vice President, Bon Appétit magazine. “We’ve found a wonderful opportunity
through the Bon Appétit Supper Club and Café, where we bring in our culinary friends
from around the country and build a terrific space for them to showcase their
extraordinary talents. It’s unmatched entertaining, mixing special events with charitable
functions, all distinguished by the true Bon Appétit style.”
