Tasty Tidbits: Serafina

Serafina Restaurant Group is proud to feature five superb Italian eateries as part of their 8 restaurant organization. In 1995, co-founders Vittorio Assaf and Fabio Granato launched the highly acclaimed Serafina Fabulous Pizza, formerly known as Sofia’s. Following the success of their first location, they went on to open Serafina Fabulous Grill, Serafina Osteria, Serafina Broadway and Serafina at The Time Hotel. Each restaurant attracts celebrities, businessmen, tourists and families. The remarkable food combined with the lively atmosphere of each location has mass appeal.

Restauratuers
Vittorio Assaf and Fabio Granato are the Co-Founders of Serafina Restaurant Group. Assaf’s culture, sense of style, marketing background and passion for food is the heart of all menu creations for all the restaurants of the Serafina Restaurant Group. Meanwhile, Granato is responsible for the design, construction, and renovation of the restaurants' spaces. Both owners play an active role in the daily operations as they over see 850 employees. Chefs

Serafina’s kitchens are staffed by Italian chefs who have been trained by Vittorio Assaf and his team to maintain the consistency of the fine meals served in the restaurants since 1995.

Cuisine
Serafina’s cuisine is Northern Italian, originating from family recipes handed down from generations of cooks and adapted by Vittorio Assaf and his team of professional chefs. Serafina’s creative pastas and risottos come to life with the freshest locally grown produce and ingredients, while the delicious desserts and extensive wine list satisfy every craving. Serafina’s famous thin crust pizzas are made with 00 Italian flour, filtered water, extra virgin olive oil, sea salt from Sicily and are produced in ovens hand built with lava stone from Mount Vesuvius fueled with burning cherry-wood.

Signature Dishes
The menus vary at each Serafina location. Some popular pasta dishes include: Rigatoni Alla Bolognese, Spaghetti All’Aragosta (Spaghetti with a whole
lobster in a spicy tomato sauce), Gnocchi Di Mamma (homemade daily with fresh tomato sauce tomato sauce, Parmesan and fresh basil), and Whole Wheat Penne (served with Extra Virgin Olive Oil, pine nuts, fresh tomatos, broccoli, garlic and parmigiano). All Serafina’s (with the exception of Serafina Oesteria) produce delicious thin crust pizzas made with the freshest Italian ingredients. Notable pizzas include the Di Fabio (tomato, mozzarella, prosciutto, and sliced tomato), Alla Norcina (tomato, mozzarella, mushrooms, and spicy sausage) and the Regina Margherita (Italian
Bufalo mozzarella, tomato and fresh basil). The secret Di Sofia is a must! There is also an assortment of fresh grilled fish and vegetable dishes.

Signature Drinks
Serafina offers an extensive wine list created by renowned Sommelier Alessandra Rotondi and featuring the best selection from Italy, France, California and local wineries. Serafina also serves fresh homemade Sangria all year long.

Interior
The interiors are warm and reminiscent of a typical Italian tratorria Serafina Broadway is an exception as it was designed by David Rockwell group with Italian film maker Fellini used as an inspiration for the sequenced walls and murano chandeliers that give the location housed in the Dream Hotel a theatrical flair. All of the Serafinas with the exception of Serafina Oesteria have an open pizza oven made of volcanic rock from Mt. Vesuvius.

Ambiance
Serafina is casual chic. Expect to find power players, neighborhood locals, celebrities and European jet setters at each location. The music is festive and the crowd happy as they dine on Serafina’s fabulous cuisine.
