A Petite Peachy Update!
From the opening of the box to putting wheels to the road, our new Maclaren Buggy took about two minutes to get ride-ready. It shipped completely assembled and the only thing I had to do was unfold it and buckle in my two-year old. I guess if it was the first time ever using a stroller, a person might want to check out the instructions, but I didn't bother and was none the worse for it. And so, on an out-of-the-ordinary, freakishly warm Saturday in March, my daughter and I strolled around the neighborhood in style. Seriously, at two years old, her "ride" is way cooler than mine. And her seat is more comfortable, too. The design is by Kate Spade, and I love the color scheme and stripes as they are really just gender-neutral, classic styling. There are just too many bright and flowery strollers on the market, and companies are just banking on the fact that parents will run out and buy all new “stuff” when the next baby of different gender comes along. It’s a money-making scheme, I tell ya! Not so with this Maclaren, and as I have a gender unknown baby on the way, it's comforting to know that we won't have to go shopping to replace this stroller it when the new baby comes along. Of course, there’s always a question as to whether any piece of baby equipment will go the distance for any one child or still be in good condition for a second or third child. Well, as far as I can see, this stroller is one that can take a baby from infancy well into the toddler years, with adjustable straps and foot rest extender, a head positioner, and comfy, comfy padding. And I have no doubt that it will stand the test of time in terms of multiple users. This is a quality piece of baby gear, from its styling to its construction – by far the highest quality stroller on the market. Thank you Maclaren!
