Literacy Partners Celebrates 26th Anniversary with Star-Studded “Evening of Readings” Gala

You know with a name like Whom You Know, we must say that Literacy Partners is one of our most favorite organizations! A historic star-studded affair, Literacy Partners 26^th annual “Evening of Readings” Gala will once again be chaired by celebrated New Yorkers Liz Smith, Arnold Scaasi and Parker Ladd.

Literacy Partners, New York’s only accredited adult literacy organization, will honor best-selling author Barbara Taylor Bradford, OBE, and her husband, filmmaker Robert Bradford.

To help celebrate, distinguished writers Sara Gruen (author of Water for Elephants), David Finkel (Pulitzer Prize-winning author of The Good Soldiers), Mary Karr (author of two bestsellers, Liar’s Club and Lit) and Norris Church Mailer (author of Windchill Summer and Cheap Diamonds) will read from their own works.

Joining these acclaimed authors on stage will be Literacy Partners adult literacy students, who will read their own inspiring essays about their experiences learning to read as adults.
