Rose is the signature wine of summer, and when Peachy is not drinking it at Swifty's, she is reviewing it for Champagne Wishes! This Arriviste by Blackbird Vineyards is one of the best we've had: it is bursting with fresh flavor and has a variety of fruity notes, our favorite of course being the peachy note. Inspired by "les gitanes," the gypsies of St. Emilion, Blackbird Vineyards' Arriviste captures the high-spirited nature of winemaking. This vibrant, puckish rosé conjures images of summer twilights and harvest moons. It is perfect for packing in a picnic or complementing the cuisine of your backyard BBQ. While it hints at the flavors of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc that frame it, Arriviste is not a wine to demystify. It is simply a wine to enjoy, and it is among our favorites at Whom You Know this summer. An approachable, friendly wine, Arriviste has arrived at our choice for it to be among the best in Manhattan.
