Surely you are all surprised...Peachy really does try to incorporate being Irish into every aspect of life and If Mud Pie wasn't brand new today, we are sure the Deegan girls to the right that are undoubtedly all Irish would be consuming it gleefully at the bar! Peachy Deegan absolutely worships Mud Pie, and this is not a girl that gets dirty very often....The very best Mud Pie she has ever encountered in her life is the best new Ben and Jerry's flavor to hit the market in Peachy's opinion!!! The chocolate and Irish coffee liqueur (the Deegan family makes their own Bailey's from scratch) with a chocolate cookie swirl is just divine!!! The combination is the very best Peachy has EVER encountered and she must admit she thinks she likes this EVEN MORE than Chunky Monkey, which has been a staple of life for her for many years. Ben & Jerry's Mud Pie is just a perfect ensemble of flavors. It's everything you'd expect in a Mud Pie, but oh so much more. I'm not sure how they do it, but somehow the chocolate cookies in this ice cream are actually crunchy. And when you've got crunchy swirling around in the creamiest chocolate and Irish coffee liqueur ice cream, you've got something delectable. I really think the concoction in these pint-sized cartons rivals any mud pie dessert I've ever had. Even the mud pie my sister makes for every family party, the stuff my aunts and cousins are always raving about, pales in comparison to what's packaged by Ben & Jerry's. Maybe next time I'll volunteer to bring dessert and show everyone what they're missing!
When I hear Mud Pie, I think of the kind of chocolate pie I used to make when I was a kid with gummy worms sticking out of it. Upon tasting this wonderful ice cream, it was like I was a kid all over again! It was everything I loved about mud pie as a kid, in a nice cool treat. I even went out and purchased gummy worms to add to the bowl. I'm not much of a chocolate ice cream person, but I loved this flavor. The crumbled chocolate cookie crumbs reminded me of the cookie crumb crust, which was my favorite part of the pie, and now, my favorite part of the ice cream. I've told many of my friends about this flavor and they can't wait to try it. This is one I know will help keep me cool on those hot summer days.
Ben and Jerry's Mud Pie ice cream rocks my world. This ice cream has a great taste of creamy coffee liqueur, chocolate cream and chocolate cookie crumbs. YUM! I simply cannot get enough of this flavor. It's very unique and I have to say it goes well as a night cap. I never thought putting a favorite Irish Liqueur flavor would taste good as an ice cream. I was a bit skeptical. I put my negative thoughts aside and dove right it and have never looked back! I am in love too.
