Chez Peachy: Another Stunning Hit From Mikasa-How Can Anyone Be Blue on a Friday? The Best Manhattan Kitchens are Blooming Style and Class in Indigo Bloom by Mikasa, Highly Recommended by Whom You Know!

If you read us closely, you know Peachy Deegan is not about frills.  We like stripes, bold solid, TASTEFUL colors, and follow the code of Prep.  Almost never are we on about any kind of print, unless it is a repeated small motif, like the cute pants Peachy bought years ago from J. Mc Laughlin....one bears a martini motif (how can you have a bad day when you have martinis all over your pants?), one is flamingos (same sentiment, up pink!) and the other is palm trees (particularly cheerful in the dead of winter which we dread.)  However, in our recent findings with Mikasa, we'd say Indigo Bloom is where it's at.  This is a print we endorse.  Among the hottest classic trends in our book is blue in the kitchen.  Peachy has been into the psychological aspects of color for more years than we'll tell you, but we will say that a close family member was involved in the development of chicken contact lenses that are red for more than one reason (and this topic starred in the same Life Magazine that our Mover and Shaker James Grant had a huge interview in), and in a study Peachy personally did years ago she remembers that blue in the kitchen promoted good heath, serenity, calmness, and prevented overeating.  (Stay away from red and orange in the kitchen they will make you behave like a piggy.)  Not to mention the plates are gorgeous.  The print is so stunning we think it is a candidate for a Hunter Dixon blouse...and you know they have the hottest prints around and are known for it at Saks Fifth Avenue, among their worldwide locations.

A stylish, modern twist on the classic color blue, Mikasa Indigo Bloom features cool hues of blue in a sophisticated, floral design. The distinctive designs and rich colors come alive on white porcelain. This striking, versatile pattern is perfect for casual or formal entertaining. Dishwasher and microwave safe, the five-piece place setting includes a dinner plate, a salad plate, a soup bowl, a teacup and saucer for a suggested retail price of $69.99. The Indigo Bloom collection also includes a variety of serving pieces including: a bread and butter plate, a charger, a cappuccino cup and saucer, a mug, a coffee server, a sugar bowl, a creamer, salt and pepper shakers, a rectangular platter, a small rice bowl, a cereal bowl, an oval platter, a round bowl and a vegetable bowl. Whom You Know highly recommends Mikasa Indigo Bloom!!!
