Champagne Wishes: Xavier Flouret and Cognac One Have Another Winner in the 2007 Quattro Canti- This Gorgeous Red from Sicily Is Perfect For Your Manhattan Winter!

Released in early December in the US, Quattro Canti is a quality red from Sicily made by winemaker Stefanie Lena and her husband at Fatascia S.R.L., which they founded and Xavier is so smart to bring this to New York as it is a clear-cut winner for the winter.  Complex notes of plum and chocolate will invigorate your senses and the depth of this Quattro Canti is unsurpassed.  We think this is so new it's not even on the Cognac One website yet so keep your eyes peeled!  Rich raspberry tones light up in a clear ruby when you hold your glass up to the light.  The Nero d'Avola has a fabulous structure that will leave you more than satisfied.  Great with red meats and even pizza which is one of Peachy's addictions, the Quattro Canti is a winner with anything tomato-based as well.

Be on the cutting edge and serve this robust Italian red at your next soiree-your guests will be truly delighted and you'll say - you know about it because it's not who you know, it's Whom You Know and like the fabulous Anna Baiguera ballet flats, sometimes the best Champagne Wishes come from Italy.  And it should come as no surprise to you that Xavier's fine wines are served at Swifty's, and small world that it is, Alejandra of the Anna team also goes to Swifty's....And Robert Caravaggi is Italian.  If you just said to yourself who is Robert Caravaggi, well you must be reading Whom You Know for the first time....stay tuned for some new Robert Caravaggi news in a column that has nothing to do with cuisine, fine wine, or fabulous Peachy Deegans.  And keep in mind that after The Peachy Deegan and Star Vodka consumed straight, Xavier Flouret wines are a fabulous selection to accompany your next meal at 1007 Lexington.
