Terrific Takeout: The Plaza Food Hall by Todd English!!!
Oh you know how Peachy Deegan just loves seafood and the Whole Grilled Branzino with wild arugula, preserved lemon, garlic and shaved fennel was a total home run, and even Eloise says so.
Eloise, this Terrific Takeout is for you!
If you are not aware, the downstairs of the Plaza is one hopping place thanks to Todd English's latest brainchild that began 8 months ago. We were pleased to meet Yannick Terquis and Brian Crawford and they were both total peaches and could not have been nicer during this Pop Quiz...as you know Peachy was out and about yesterday!
And the level of quality of the cuisine at The Plaza Food Hall by Todd English is testament to the diligence and commitment to excellence of both Brian and Yannick, and Todd too of course though Peachy did not meet him.
Let us educate you: this is a Food HALL not a Food Court. Inspired by Harrod's of Knightsbridge (London!), we feel this is an even bigger hit because it's American and has a higher level of service, though Peachy Deegan does love Harrod's, truth be told. Mini Lamb Gyros are a best-seller and they are pictured above.
The butternut squash ravioli will just melt in your mouth and it is by far the sweetest ravioli we've ever tried. We imagine this would be a big hit with the Petite Peachy set.
It's so much nice in Nice-you know like the song from the musical "The Boyfriend"-so we had to try the Plaza Nicoise-it's served with Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Poached Tuna, Haricot Vert, Hard-Cooked Egg, Yukon Gold Potato, & Black Olive Vinaigrette!
It was among the most outstanding salads ever.
Baha'a and Constanza were simply delightful and perfect with detail and we were pleased to meet them.
They also have an extensive catering menu.
Every meal is complete with something chocolate.
Terrific does not do The Plaza Food Hall by Todd English justice as an adjective...we hope to feature them again in a formal review.
