Terrific Takeout: Tiella

Tiella is a hot new Italian spot right near the Mover and Shaker Ed Koch bridge (yay Mayor Koch! Read his interview here: http://www.whomyouknow.com/2010/09/movers-and-shakers-mayor-ed-koch-mayor.html) that you should absolutely check out.

Run by proprietor Mario Coppola, Tiella has simply amazing Branzino Acqua Pazza as you can see above! You know the Italian word Acqua from our smashing reviews of Acqua di Parma which is a Milan brand we are so in love with...the translation for the fish is whole Mediterranean branzino roasted in spring water, cherry tomatoes, parsley and garlic. It was superb.

We've been inspired by Mover and Shaker Chris Wragge's cohost Erica Hill on the CBS Early Show and her quest to eat many (is it 9?~!) vegetables a day so we also tried the fresh green salad, and of course Peachy Deegan's favorite vegetable was the cheese.

Tiella is committed to quality ingredients and the texture of the branzino was outstanding as well as the garlic seasoning which we loved.

And if you go to pick it up yourself, you may hear Beatles songs in Italian which is also a plus.
