Terrific Takeout: York Grill

York Grill is a total winner off the beaten path of most of Manhattan, located at 1690 York Avenue. Charlie, who is a total peach and offered a glass of wine to Peachy while she waited for takeout, and his brother Tony own a smashing upscale place that is fair of face, full of grace (and not just because it's around the corner from Gracie Mansion!), and should become your dinner place. Peachy Deegan went there for the first time recently and loved the specials menu, and ordered off of it. The Pan Seared Wild Sea Bass served over a bed of Creamy Dececco Risotto with a Putanesca sauce (kalamata and piccolini olives, roma tomatoes, onions and garlic) served with a garlic croistini and finished with a chipotle aioli was simply divine, and we don't know what took us to long to get to York Grill because it is spectacular.

Seventeen years going strong, York Grill attracts both the neighborhood crowd and celebs alike, we hear from Charlie. The diversity and creativity of the menu is testament to the New American Cuisine they serve, which Charlie defines by the twist they put on everything from the presentation to the unique spices. They even have a chandelier in the window and of course that wins points with us-see Chandelier Peachy.

We also tried a smashing crisp lola rosa and baby arugula salad with toasted almonds and sundried apricots!
