Terrific Takeout: Bistro Vendome

If you think you've had the best mussels around, think again.
Unless you have had Mussels Provencale at Bistro Vendome, you have not had the best that Manhattan has to offer.  Mikasa plate not included, these mussels are hands down the absolute most succulent and flavorful that Peachy Deegan has ever tasted in her life, and that is counting mussels she has had in France.
You will savor every last bit and even be dipping your bread in the extra.
Mixed field greens were a total hit too and a great addition to any meal you have at Bistro Vendome.  Light, crispy and screaming spring, of course this is the component of the meal that your nutritionist will commend you for.
Roasted Maine Sea Scallops were a hit out of the ballpark, joined by orzo and porcini risotto.  (Plate by Ralph Lauren...) Roasted to perfection, these beauties of the sea will become beauties of your plate and best yet, beauties in your stomach.  Virginie Petiteau was a delight to meet and she has a huge winner in Bistro Vendome.
Do not be intimidated by the trek east-at 405 East 58th this has got to be the Sutton Place crowd's neighborhood winner.
