Mover and Shaker Meera Gandhi, CEO and Founder of the Giving Back Foundation, Attends the Centrepoint Polo Match in Santa Barbara, California July 9th
Mover and Shaker Meera Gandhi, CEO and Founder of the Giving Back Foundation, was a guest with her daughter Kiran Gandhi at the recent “Centrepoint: The American Friends of the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Henry” polo match in Santa Barbara, California (July 9th). Prince William played in the match and was presented the winners’ team trophy by his wife Catherine.
The Giving Back Foundation is a partner/affiliate of and is inspired by Centrepoint. Both are not- for-profit charitable foundations. The Giving Back Foundation aids women and children and Centrepoint focuses on homeless people.
Said Meera Gandhi:
"It was truly a special day for me. I presented the Duchess of Cambridge, formerly Kate Middleton, with an Asian silk scroll that defined happiness, peace, prosperity and longevity, which was also inscribed in Chinese, as I live partly in Hong Kong. The Duchess of Cambridge was gracious, beautiful and as poised as can be. It was delightful talking with her," said Meera. “Actress Zoe Saldana was another highlight of the lunch as she chatted with my daughter Kiran and me. Michael Blakely, former drummer for Tears and Fears and his wife sat with at our table for lunch- and Rob Lowe was nearby as was Jennifer Love Hewitt. It was all so dignified with a small tent and 140 VIP guests lunching with Prince William and Kate, followed by the exciting polo match where we were lucky enough to have front row seats for this very worthwhile cause.”
