Casabella Debuts the Keith Haring Artist Collection: Cleaning Tools that Combine Art and Function

Casabella® debuts the Keith Haring Artist Collection of cleaning tools. Casabella has translated some of Haring's widely recognized, animated and popular art into products that are used everyday. The art gives style, a story and design to high performing, well-made cleaning tools including a broom, a mop, a microfiber floor duster, an extendable filament duster, a dustpan and brush set, sponges, micro fiber cloths and round brush scrubbers. Prices range from $5.99 - $17.99.

”Casabella has always been a design oriented company. We take everyday products and make them attractive, functional and fun. Who would have thought a mop could be enticing? We did. We continue to approach design with the goal of making household products easier on the body and eye,” explains Michael Karyo, VP of Sales for Casabella. “The opportunity to transform some of Keith Haring’s art into a collection of cleaning tools that can be used every day made perfect sense to us. Turning simple items into accessible art lets us create popular art for the home.”

Keith Haring was an artist and activist who frequently used his art to speak about social issues. He was one of the best known among the young artists, filmmakers, performers and musicians whose work responded to urban street culture of the 80s. Diagnosed with AIDS in 1988, Haring established the Keith Haring Foundation in 1989 to provide funding and imagery to AIDS organizations, and to ensure that his philanthropic legacy would continue indefinitely. The Keith Haring Foundation’s mission is to sustain, expand and protect the legacy of Haring’s art and his ideals. The Foundation supports organizations that assist underprivileged children, as well as those engaged in education, research and care with respect to AIDS and HIV. The Keith Haring Studio is represented by Artestar LLC, an international brand licensing and consulting firm specializing in fine art, fashion and design brands.

Casabella was founded 20-years-ago by Bruce Kaminstein when he fell in love with a beautiful, well-designed mop and knew that he wanted to design household products that were both easy on the body and on the eye. Casabella has been designing smart, creative, award winning cleaning tools, kitchen and bath accessories and organizing products ever since.
