Terrific Takeout: Il Punto
If you go to the Javits center often like Peachy Deegan does this time of year, you know you should not plan on eating there. Before she goes, she does research to see what she might find that is simply fantastic around there, and let us assure you, Il Punto is simply fantastic. Perfectly formed Tortellini in Brodo - meat tortellini in chicken broth is a warm way to start the experience and the flavor was terrific.
The salad was extraordinary and definitely the sweetest salad we've had in quite some time. The greens were just as fresh as you'd expect and the twist was the added berries! The dressing seemed to have notes of maple-it was sweet as well but not too sweet. Baby greens were mixed with grape tomatoes, berries, pear vincotto, honey toasted walnuts and balsamic vinaigrette: More Di Gelsi it is named. And, they put the dressing on the side as requested. Manager Svetlana is totally on the ball all-around.

The Southern Italian cuisine was accentuated with the Linguine Ai Frutti Di Mare: shrimp, sea scallops, clams, mussels and calamari. The linguine was al dente and the seafood was just as good as the best places we have had this dish at. Il Punto is Terrific Takeout and a total standout in its neighborhood!
