Champagne Wishes: Peconic Bay Winery Lot #5 Highly Recommended by the Winning Wine Enthusiasts of Whom You Know

Peconic Bay Winery Lot #5 is simply perfection. This is a type of wine I have never had the opportunity to try until now. 60% Cavernet Sauvignon, 20% Malbec, 20% Merlot - WOW! What an amazing combination. Just pop open the bottle and be captured by the beautiful aroma. You can smell the blackberry, black cherry and plum. Then take a sip and taste the beautiful fruit. I cannot resist this fabulous wine. I think the best part of it is that it is made in the beautiful state of New York. Who ever knew something this amazing could come from my own backyard. Open this bottle at a dinner party and people will rave. Trust me when I say this is one of the most delicious wines I have ever had.
Now that it is getting colder outside again, it is time for me to switch back to drinking red wine. I really prefer red over white, so this is a very exciting switch! One of my biggest problems, however, is trying to decide which red wine I feel like drinking. Now that choice is a little easier to make with Peconic Bay Lot #5. This red wine is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Malbec, and 20% Merlot. Three of my favorite reds combined to make one really outstanding bottle of wine. It has a lovely aroma when poured from the bottle. The first sip is full of a fruity flavor with a bit of spice. It would go very well with a delicious steak dinner. Although, it tastes perfectly fine all on its own! And another thing that I really love about this wine is that it is made on a sustainably farmed estate winery on Long Island. I'm really looking forward to offering this fantastic wine to the guests at my next dinner party!
Lot #5 is a luscious red wine: it's a Cabernet-based blend of grapes from Long Island. Its creator, Peconic Bay Winery, touts a respectable catalogue of varietals that provide local wines for any table. For a more complete overview, be sure to see their website (PeconicBayWinery.com). They're good to know about, and a bit surprising, with their wide range of wines. they even have a hard cider, for historically minded menu planners. Their reds include a particular blend in Lot #5 is fruity with a light body and a jewel tone. As a light red, it's easy to serve, with tapas, or a main course. Drink it now, and enjoy it throughout the holidays as a welcome for your guests. Think burgers, try it with pizza. Make it part of your red vocabulary. And because their vineyards are relatively close to the NYC area, Peconic Bay Winery would make a perfect destination side trip. The beautiful vineyards would be the perfect wedding venue, too! But in the meantime, I'm thinking Long Island duck as a pairing with this Long Island wine. How perfect is that?

My favorite type of wine has hints of blackberry and plum. When I opened this wine, I immediately was hit by the aroma of these fruits. The flavor was backed by these wonderful aromas of blackberry and plum. The finish was impeccable. I usually like to enjoy these wines after dinner as my dessert. This wine was a wonderful way to end my day. I enjoyed savoring every sip while watching one of my new favorite TV shows. I also am excited to see what kinds of dishes I can pair this wine with so I can enjoy this wine in different ways. I am also looking to see what kinds of wine I can ask Santa for this Christmas and I have found one in the Peconic Bay Red Label Lot #5. I also know what kind of wine this Secret Santa will give to my friends who love a good bottle of wine. If you are looking for that great bottle of wine for yourself or a friend, this is it. You can't go wrong with this wine.

The 2011 “Red Label” Cabernet Sauvignon blend, called Lot #5 is a typical for this very difficult vintage – here we have a low acid, low tannin red that is easy to drink, easy to understand, and very enjoyable for its youthfulness and exuberance. It will certainly not age, but why not enjoy this fruit-juicy Cab right now while waiting for the 2010s to develop? It captures the generous nature of the Cabernet Sauvignon, while remaining less than serious. Another wine that is very enjoyable chilled, and especially with takeout Chinese. (This wine is $19.99 at www.empirestatecellars.com, 450 cases of 750s and 30 cases of magnums were produced.)
