Many places have escargot with butter, but not every place Peachy dines at serves them at the level of Serge Bistro! These six succulent snails greeted Peachy's tastebuds in great flavor and are among the best we've had. They were even swimming in extra sauce that was soaked up by the equally fantastic french bread! Peachy also dreamed SHE was swimming in that sauce. Escargots de Bourgogne is just one of the many hits by our new friend Serge and this starter sets the right precedent in Terrific Takeout.
Peachy happens to abhor complicated salads and feels less is often more in this category. Serge had it right again with the Mesclun salad and even put the dressing on the side just like we asked. The tomatoes in particular were excellent. As an entree, we opted for the Grilled Striped Bass which was fresher than fresh and ideally grilled. Complimented by mixed vegetables, mashed potatoes and to-die-for Chardonnay Sauce (Serge excels in sauces we can tell but bien sur as he is from Paris...) this poisson hit the right note!
