Gracious Galleries: Introducing Sculptor Rosamond Lloyd! We applaud the study of an African Elephant Cow & Calf in bronze
Oooh we just love elephants. Emma Grant loves elephants also. We have seen elephants on the ties of Geoffrey Bradfield and Lee Black and you know Peachy herself wears elephants too. The latest and greatest elephants we have to tell you about are from across the pond via the internet as elephants do not travel well across oceans, we surmise. This highly detailed piece by sculptor Rosamond Lloyd was a private commission and is generously loaned for exhibition by its owners. (We'll be telling you more about this exhibition...) This piece is a unique edition. Rosamond undertakes much of her research for such pieces in Zambia, observing her subjects in real life. This piece was made in clay and cast in finest bronze using the ancient lost wax process, by famous UK foundry, Castle Fine Arts, who also work with acclaimed sculptors Antony Gormley, Nic Fiddian-Green and Geoffrey Dashwood.
