It's the most wonderful time of the year...unless you are dealing with traveling with the public which no one likes. Not everyone has their own private jet and packers and people to carry their luggage (we don't!), so we look for the best way to get Peachy's essentials from here to there. What do we love about The Lightweight Impervious Luggage?

*It really is light. This is what Peachy takes for four days (includes many outfit changes! And shoes!) and is the biggest edition of the suitcases. Since your stuff can be heavy, it is nice to know the container it is going in is light.

*The wheels are speedy and work flawlessly. Lesser luggage has wheels that only add to travel aggravation. These are like wheels of a sportscar! We know time is money and if the wheels make your travel speedier and therefore shorter, that is good.

*It expands. You unzip it to make it even bigger and the zippers work well with no sticking. We shop, you shop, we all shop, on TRIPS. Need we say more? Nevermind what Santa may have in store for you.

*The day we left New York, inevitably due to Murphy's Law, it poured. This was a nice test! Everything remained dry inside which was so important as many of the clothes were just cleaned by the excellent couture cleaners at Hallak. It truly is impervious.

This impervious luggage is made from polycarbonate composite (the same material used in bulletproof glass) yet is lighter than typical soft-sided models. Available exclusively from Hammacher Schlemmer, the 2.6mm-thick, scratch-resistant shell withstands the rigors of modern day travel without cracking or denting. The suitcase has reinforced corners and both halves of the protective shell are secured by a durable ABS zipper. A second zipper provides 2" of expansion, increasing the overall volume of each piece by up to 25%. The generous interior is lined with rugged nylon; one side has a zippered divider with an exterior mesh pocket, the other side has compression straps. Four swiveling wheels, two padded carrying handles, and a telescoping aluminum handle enable effortless transport through airport terminals. Charcoal pattern.
