Haute Hotels: The Westin Georgetown Continues to Shine During the Holiday Season!
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...at The Westin Georgetown!
We continue to enjoy working with this superb venue, and this management is absolutely dedicated to the pursuit of excellence.
Since our last visit, the Westin Georgetown updated their lobby and we love the gorgeous new ceiling complete with a beautiful chandelier. As you know from the many times we've talked about chandeliers, we were absolutely thrilled to make its acquaintance!
As soon as you arrive, you will feel welcome by the serenity of the beautiful lobby complete with flower arrangements in the style of the season.
Some of the people we've met are among the most friendly and helpful we've met in hospitality.
This time, we were delighted to meet Tina Safaie and eight-year veteran Graford Jean-Louis, both of whom answered our myriad of questions and were pleasant morning, noon and night.
Check out their awesome Lenovo computer, which gives us one more reason to love the Westin Georgetown.
The bed at the Westin Georgetown is superbly comfortable. Now that the pool is closed, you will almost not want to get out of the bed, complete with five pillows. It is fit for every Princess with or without a Pea and Prince too for that matter. Will and Kate if you stayed in the USA longer you'd find you'd love it here we believe. Right up there with cleanliness, having a bed that ensures sweet dreams is about the most important aspect of a hotel in the fall season. (In the summer, a pool is equal to us.)
There's a terrific television and workspace aside it with plenty of room to do whatever reading or writing you'd hope to accomplish. When the Westin confirms your reservation their email is most complete, including weather during your stay so you know how to pack.
Almost no one meets Peachy before she's had enough caffeine, and we love that Starbucks coffee is right in the rooms! Brilliant.
You know we review Washington, D.C. restaurants, and we really appreciate this hotel putting a little refrigerator in our room for our leftovers.
The clock radio works perfectly and we like the AM radio aspect included (some of the new radios we see only have FM.)
As the hotel is friendly to the earth, there is a system for the electricity when it goes on when you insert your room key into the system:
The bathtub is extraordinary!
Everything in the room is spotless the minute you walk in.
Another essential component we love is the lighting in the bathroom.
You can apply makeup like an expert and cover any skin flaw effortlessly in this superior lighting.
You may borrow their clean robe:
...and the shower has great water pressure and has a special nozzle that you can remove from the stand to redirect the water as you see fit.
Accurately labeled, it absolutely is a Heavenly Bath!
This room had a wardrobe closet instead of the regular built-in, and we hung up our clothes straightaway, all superclean having just arrived from Hallak.
We spy a Geiger!
We love their commitment to hospitality including newspapers at the elevator,
and the Seasonal Apple Cider hits the spot!
Doctors everywhere-see that they offer apples in the lobby!
An apple a day will also make you want to stay at The Westin Georgetown, if you haven't been convinced earlier!
We continue to be fabulously impressed.
Bravo, Westin Georgetown!
