Also, the first three episodes of this series earned our highest recommendation:

http://www.whomyouknow.com/2015/01/road-to-nhl-winter-classic-episode-2.html
http://www.whomyouknow.com/2015/02/road-to-nhl-winter-classic-episode-3.html#.VNjwzPnF_9sWe recommend watching this series in order, and all four episodes are of the same superior quality.  As it snows outside your window, what could be better than snuggling up with your Epix HD channel and catching up on all you don't know about hockey!  (No one knows it all!)

This series continues to add a huge dimension of humanity to the sport, and of course as you know this particular series centers around the Winter Classic itself, a holy day of obligation for those of us that practice hockey as a religion.  Did you know this particular game in Washington, D.C. was the southernmost Winter Classic ever?  That makes it even more attractive-if you're going to be outside in the cold it's better to do it in a more mild condition.

Episode Four is a closing, conclusion-based tieup to the series, with a post-game itinerary.  A beauty of Epix as we've told you is that you can watch it whenever you want to online; you don't have to line up at attention to when the tv channel commands you to.

The cameras alternate between opposing locker rooms (imagine that in real time!  of course, this is afterwards...), and you'll hear outside little kids chant: "Sharpie!"  If you know hockey and the Chicago Blackhawks in particular, you know they're not talking about a magic marker.

Playing outside presents challenges of sunglare, so you'll see black under eyes which you'd never see inside.  We were happy to see dancer Julianne Hough on skates (her boyfriend is a Capital) and you know her from Dancing With the Stars-first a teacher, now a judge.  And, we were so glad to see the USA Warriors scrimmage with the Blackhawks 20 on 20!

For anyone thinks being a professional athlete is all glamour and glory, you get quite a bit of insight as to how it is not quite that all the time.  You'll drive into the stadium with them four hours before the game, and you'll see what happens when controversy erupts about questionable officiating.
It's NOT just another game.  The end?  One locker room was like a wedding; the other was like a funeral.
Capture the triumph of the human spirit through hockey, the best sport of all, on EPIX's extraordinary coverage in the Road to the Winter Classic Series!
We can't wait until next year.
