has quite the gem at Marcony, and if it has slipped below your radar in the past, it's time to put it on your priority list! He says Marcony is the best kept secret in town, and we quite concur.
Marcony first made Peachy's Picks in 2011:
It was also featured in our Manhattan Al Fresco column:
and it was featured in 2013:
We continue to be impressed.

In honor of Vino 2015, we celebrate Marcony today because not only are their culinary endeavors excellent, but also their wine selection!  90% of the wine at Marcony is Italian.  We enjoyed this superlative robust Italian red on our most recent visit.  We began with the Mediterranea: baby field greens, cherry tomato, olives, capers, roast pepper, marinated carrots and balsamic reduction.  They listened and put the dressing on the side, like we always like.  It was fresh and crisp and absolutely nutritious.

Another great aspect of Marcony is that you really do feel as if you are on vacation on your own yacht in Capri.  And, if you don't have one, you can have a seat at Marcony, one of our favorite Italian venues!  It may be cold outside but it's summer at Marco's.

One of the most celestial pasta dishes you can eat anywhere is the Tortelloni Marcony, which once you taste you'd want to befriend on a regular basis.  Glorious spinach and cheese fill fresh pasta which waltzes in black and white truffle cream sauce which Marco must order from heaven.

For our appetizer, we chose the Sautee di cozze: Prince Edward mussels sauteed with garlic, white wine and pepper.  These fresh, succulent little beauties melted in our mouth and brought us back to summer!  We bet you are seeking that feeling today with the sleeting sky outside in Manhattan.  As you see, the presentation is stunning as well!
Our entree was a terrifically fun one!  If you are missing Christmas and opening presents, you can now open your dinner at Marcony and the Chandelier there can be considered the tree.  Please meet the Dentice al cartoccio!  It is presented to you like this:

Once you cut around the edges, you will find the gorgeous red snapper filet hiding underneath that parchment paper.  It's garnished with cherry tomatoes, thyme, string beans and steamed in its own juices.  The sublime flavor steams out once you cut the paper open and your senses will be infiltrated with quite the decadent, delicious dinner.  Don't wait to try yours at 184 Lexington!
Of course, Marcony is Terrific Takeout!
