When was the last time you had a really great eclair?
Peachy could not remember, but she knew what to do about it.
She rang up Robert Zerilli, who is King of Eclairs and everything else sweet in Manhattan!

If you're going to break your lenten fast, you should do it right.
We're pretty sure they break their fast on the Thursday before Easter...which is today.
There are cute petite eclairs above and full-size eclairs below, and they are equally delicious.
Why not try both?
Veniero's eclairs are generous in portion and longer and wider than their competitors.
Not that they have any competition!
The eclairs made their debut at Veniero's in the 1940's and they use their famous custard cream where it is made in a steam kettle and slow cooked until there are virtually no lumps whatsoever in the cream.  Veniero's uses all-natural ingredients like whole eggs and milk, and absolutely nothing is artificial.  The bingne' dough is also crafted the old-fashioned way and Robert and his team bake it until it's just the right texture.
All eclairs are filled fresh daily, and the chocolate strip on top is of the highest quality chocolate and fondant.  This incredible attention to detail and commitment to quality is precisely why this family business has been around for four generations since 1894.

There is definitely no other place better in Manhattan if you want dessert, and Robert is the 4th generation owner. Of course he makes the eclairs fresh every day. If the Midwives wanted to come to New York in the 1950's or 60's they could have had an eclair at Veniero's back then.

Veniero's is the only venue that has earned multiple features in Decadent Desserts.

"I can't wait until April 3rd when I can see the midwives eating eclairs on PBS! I know the show is after Easter in America, but Peachy and I would encourage you to break your lenten fast right now and of course, also be sure to have eclairs ready for when you watch so you can eat them during the show!" Robert tells Peachy.
