Today, Whom You Know was honored to attend the press preview for #MetHeavenlyBodies #CostumeInstitute @MetMuseum and it is the tenth consecutive year we have covered this annual Costume Institute exhibit.  It is a phenomenal spotlight on truth, goodness and beauty as noted by Cardinal Dolan and a superlative collection of Catholic Fashion.  Of the ten years we have seen, this is the only exhibit to rival McQueen.  It might be better; we'd have to think about it as now we have seen this once and we saw McQueen about 25 times.  As a proud Boston College Eagle, Peachy Deegan is of course thrilled about the Catholic and Jesuit connection and the positive light it is shown in throughout this exhibit. It earns our highest accolades.  On Peachy Deegan: Rosary and Crucifix by RJM Designs and Celtic Cable Double Celtic Plait Knit by Couture Knit.

Exhibition Overview

The Costume Institute's spring 2018 exhibition—at The Met Fifth Avenue and The Met Cloisters—will feature a dialogue between fashion and medieval art from The Met collection to examine fashion's ongoing engagement with the devotional practices and traditions of Catholicism.
Serving as the cornerstone of the exhibition, papal robes and accessories from the Sistine Chapel sacristy, many of which have never been seen outside The Vatican, will be on view in the Anna Wintour Costume Center. Fashions from the early twentieth century to the present will be shown in the Byzantine and medieval galleries, part of the Robert Lehman Wing, and at The Met Cloisters.
Accompanied by a catalogue.
Exhibition design by Diller Scofidio + Renfro
