La Nuit de L'Homme, the new fragrance for men by Yves Saint Laurent, is a story of seduction, intensity and bold sensuality.

A fragrance built of contrasting forces. A seduction that lies between restraint and abandonment. Bright, masculine freshness combines with sophistication and nonchalance for a deep, mysterious and sensual scent.

The fragrance….

A deliberate statement of contrasts and tension is at the heart of the fragrance composition. Ingredients of exceptional quality and olfactive intensity comprise a formula that is both simple and refined. A luxurious simplicity sculpted around three olfactive opposites that resonate and respond to each other from the top note to the bottom note.

The first tension: Cardamon – Bergamot

Cardamon lends its spicy, incisive, dazzling freshness to the floral, citrusy, fresh facets of bergamot that creates a penetrating, virile freshness that electrifies the middle note and makes it vibrate.

The second tension: Cedar – Lavender

A marriage that expresses both restraint and abandonment, power and lightness. The noble, classic Virginia Cedar wood imposes control, strength and mystery through its dry, vibrant woody notes while the lavender establishes refinement, delicacy and lightness through its aromatic, fresh, floral facets.

The third tension:

As dark, deep, and mysterious as the first tension yet fresh, bright and dazzling. The play of darkness and light continues to reveal the complexity and richness of the fragrance facets. The virile, tenacious, woody sensuality of vetiver seems to be tamed by the mellow, fleshy, rich coumarin.

French actor Vincent Cassel personifies La Nuit de L’homme Yves Saint Laurent. A strong, complex personality expressed in particularly demanding roles. Vincent Cassel is best known in the U.S. for his roles in Jefferson in Paris, Elizabeth, L’Haine, Oceans 12, Oceans 13 and Eastern Promises. This Fall, Vincent Cassel will be seen in the title role, which recently one him a Cesar, in Public Enemy Number One, a two part biography of the notorious French gangster, Jacques Mesrine.

Vincent Cassel appears in the La Nuit campaign with his own unique brand of unfettered masculinity, sensitivity and virility. His affirmed, lively seduction flirts with danger. Balancing boldness and elegance, Vincent Cassel is an Yves Saint Laurent man.

The bottle…

The graphic codes of the L’homme Yves Saint Laurent bottle reveal a new masculinity. The raw strength of the hexagon plunged into black lacquer. The depth and elegance of an Yves Saint Laurent night. Pure lines accentuate tones of black from the bottom to the top, creating a tension, an adrenalin rush.
