PAMPERS SWADDLERS TEAMS UP WITH NBC “TODAY” SHOW PRODUCERS, ON-AIR TALENT AND JESSICA SEINFELD’S CHARITY - BABY BUGGY - TO SUPPORT MOMS IN NEED AT TODAY’S MOMS BOOK LAUNCH AND DIAPER DRIVE EVENT
NBC “Today” Show Talent and Celebrities to Walk the Red Carpet in Celebration of Book Launch and Pampers Diaper Drive to Support Moms in NYC and Around the World
Rouge Tomate, NYC, Tuesday April 7th, 2009, 6:30pm
Being a new mom can be tough. But, NBC “Today” show producers Mary Ann Zoellner and Alicia Ybarbo have teamed up with Pampers and UNICEF to try to make parents’ lives a little easier. In honor of their new book launch –TODAY’S MOMS: Essentials for Surviving Baby’s First Year (written by Zoellner, Ybarbo with contributions from several “Today” on-air talent), they have joined Pampers in creating a star-studded event and diaper drive to benefit New York City charity, Baby Buggy.
As the book seeks to be of service to new moms offering advice, guidance and personal parenting stories, the “TODAY’S MOMS” team is extending this support even further by helping families in need in NYC and throughout the world. Attendees who donate a package of specially-marked Pampers for the diaper drive will not only give diapers to a family in need in New York City through Baby Buggy (babybuggy.org), but are also triggering a donation in support of the Pampers “One Pack = One Vaccine” campaign1 to benefit UNICEF (http://www.pampers.com/en_US/unicef/), providing funding to UNICEF for nearly 2,000 vaccines2 to help protect women and their newborns in the developing world against Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus. New York City residents can continue to donate additional diapers at Rouge Tomate (60th and Madison) or at the Baby Buggy loft, located at 306 West 37th Street, throughout the month of April. All proceeds will go to Baby Buggy. Consumers outside of New York City can buy the book for themselves or as the perfect shower gift as a bundled set containing the book and package of Pampers Swaddlers through Diapers.com.
In attendance:
* NBC “Today” talent: Matt Lauer, Meredith Vieira, Al Roker, Ann Curry, Natalie Morales, Kathie Lee Gifford, Hoda Kotb, Lester Holt, Tiki Barber, Amy Robach, Jenna Wolfe, David Gregory, Joy Bauer, all of whom are contributors in the book.
* NBC “Today” producers and book authors Mary Ann Zoellner and Alicia Ybarbo
* Jessica Seinfeld (President & founder, Baby Buggy), Joan Rivers, Melissa Rivers, Christy Turlington Burns, Andrew Shue
