Technology: Nutritive Gluco-Active™
The technology is based on the Gluco-Active Ingredient Complex™ that delivers nutrition to the hair fiber. The Gluco-Active technology is comprised of proteins, lipids, and a unique glucose derivative patented by L'Oreal.

Each of these components delivers different benefits to the hair fiber:

The Treatment Program from Kérastase
Kérastase Nutritive Gluco-Active Treatment Program begins with an in-salon ritual and continues with a three-step home care regimen. The products work together to cleanse, treat and protect hair against outside aggressions.

In-Salon Treatment Rituals

Treatments in the salon are carried out as either Express or Deluxe services depending on the needs and desired results of the client. Their deliveries vary in time and level of indulgence.

Express vs Deluxe Treatments

Aqua Oleum, the first masque to introduce nano-emulsion technology, and Oléo-Fusion, a new advanced treatment, are both Express Services. These treatments are sprayed on, worked through the hair by performing the Kérastase Exclusive Scalp Massage and then washed out immediately. They deliver optimal hair benefits in a short period of time.

Deluxe Treatments, Nutridefense and Masquintense Fine/Thick, provide the ultimate Kérastase experience. First the hair treatment is delivered through the Kérastase Exclusive Scalp Massage and corresponding precise application techniques. While the treatment sets, the client undergoes a full body massage. The massages are based on Western anatomical and physiological knowledge, and together with Kérastase unique product formulations are designed to stimulate the vital functions; releasing muscle tension, increasing blood circulation and evacuating toxins. The hair treatment is ultimately washed out, ending a fulfilling 45-minute experience and delivering the finest Kérastase results.

NEW Kérastase Treatments

Oléo-Fusion, an Express Treatment, combines the unique technology of Nutri-Huile and Ionium to provide long-lasting nourishment to very dry and sensitized scalp and hair. Nutri-Huile blends the richness of oils with the lightness of water, to instantly infuse the hair fibers with moisturizing agents from root to ends. Ionium, a hydrophilic micro polymer, is much smaller than conventional polymers, which allows it to penetrate right into the core of the fiber. At the same time, its ionic nature enables it to attach itself to the surface of the fiber, forming a protective layer.

Previously, it was impossible to combine these two technologies, as the ingredients are unstable when mixed together. However, with this innovative packaging, they are combined just before application so optimal benefits are achieved.
