NYC RESTAURANT WEEK EXTENDED THROUGH NYIGF Summer Market Participants Benefit from Popular Dining Promotion
One of New York City's most popular promotions, NYC Restaurant Week®, has been extended into August, coinciding with the summer 2009 New York International Gift Fair® (NYIGF®), August 15-20. Incidentally since Peachy Deegan is all over the place, Whom You Know will be at that too and we look forward to getting all of our Christmas shopping done early and adding fabulous ideas for you in our Gorgeous Gifts for Mr. and Ms. Impossible to Shop For column. NYC Restaurant Week offers New York Market participants three-course prix-fixe lunch ($24.07) and dinner ($35) menus at more than 250 of the City's hottest new and established restaurants.
Participating restaurants, located throughout Manhattan and the boroughs, represent both casual and formal dining in a variety of cuisines. The promotion, originally scheduled July 12-31, has been extended through August. A full list of participating restaurants is available online at nycgo.com/restaurantweek.
"Manhattan is one of the world's top culinary destinations, and NYC Restaurant Week is a quintessential NYC activity," said Dorothy Belshaw, NYIGF Director and GLM Senior Vice President. "We're delighted that NYIGF participants will have the chance to enjoy some of the city's best restaurants at a fraction of the usual price."
Now in its 18th year, NYC Restaurant Week welcomes back many acclaimed eateries, such as Le Cirque, Mesa Grill, Nobu, Craftbar, Tribeca Grill, Primehouse New York and Blue Smoke. Notable newcomers include 10 Downing, Elettaria, Bar Artisinal, The Red Cat and DBGB Kitchen and Bar.
NYIGF, which takes place at the Javits Center and Passenger Ship Terminal Pier 94, is the nation's premier gift, home and lifestyle marketplace, with 2,900 exhibiting companies featuring an extraordinary breadth and depth of design-driven home fashion products and complementary giftware. Some 30,000 attendees from all 50 states and around the world are expected. For information and registration, visit www.nyigf.com.
