Peachy Deegan is pleased to announce that she is proclaiming Yorkville Creperie to be among Peachy's Picks! It was strongly unanimous across our panel of dining experts. We could not have been more pleased with the level of service, the excellent crepes, the charming atmosphere and its true authenticity in our city that is full of cliched restaurants that do not impress us half as much as Yorkville Creperie. Sitting in Yorkville Creperie, Peachy Deegan feels like she is on a set of the tv show (still in syndication we believe) "Friends" during the day, but when she is actually here with her friends she feels like a character on Sex and The City discussing Manhattan life happily surrounded by sweet and savory crepes to die for.

In a true American Nouveau style, Yorkville Creperie offers snacks, meals, and drinks that suit all types of Manhattanities. Of COURSE, the focus is crepes. The Roma Crepe absolutely hits the spot, and you all should order that. Filled with chicken, mozzarella and tomato bruscetta in an herb crepe, you will be coming back the next day after you have tried it once. This one in particular is Peachy's Favorite. On the sweet side you cannot go wrong with the Midnight Crepe, which is exquisitely filled with dark chocolate. We could have eaten about ten off the menu because so many sound so good, but then we would not fit into our latest Donna Ricco dresses! To promote that effort, some custom salad crepes - Summer Cobb and Caesar Salad - were part of the meal and they were equally delicious. Not only are the crepes excellent, but the paninis also are well done. Mallory does a great job with the cooking and baking, Kyla is a lovely host and the concept and menu are the accomplishment of Chris, whom we look forward to featuring as a Mover and Shaker.

In the morning it strikes a coffee house atmosphere, hosting story hours for children and during quieter times it functions as a perfect spot for an informal business meeting during the day. What could be most surprising to those that have not enjoyed the fabulous atmosphere is that we believe it to be better for a glass of wine than any wine bar on the Upper East Side, and when you have 3 or 4 you really will need some crepes to go with it! Peachy particularly preferred the Bartenura Prosecco.

One dining expert commented:
Greeted by lovely gracious hosts, we were sat at a beautiful comfortable couch and served perfectly cooled Alfasi Chardonnay, surprised at the great quality of the wine served. We were handed an exhaustive menu of delicious crepes, all individually included with attention to detail of the ingredients chosen.

We were moved to a table to start our wonderful meal. We started with a couple of specials, not featured on the daily menu. Both the Caesar Special and Cobb Salad Special were served on a flat crepe. The flavors were wonderful, surprisingly filling and beautifully presented. We then moved on to individual Hummus Roll Crepes served with a center salad. The picnic Panini was perfectly toasted and flavorful.

Another dining expert commented:
As soon as I walked through the door of the Yorkville Crêperie, I immediately felt like it was a great place to relax after the stressful day I’ve had. It was quiet and inviting, as I was not in the mood for a loud happy hour environment. I felt right at home lounging on one of the sofas, while I looked over the menu. The atmosphere was very friendly, as Kyla introduced herself and brought me a glass of water.

I was happy to see a sweet wine on the menu, and was more than satisfied with the Bartenura Moscato di Asti. It was crisp, refreshing and sweet. When it came down to crêpe-tasting, I think my favorite pick for dinner had to be the savory Roma Crêpe, with chicken, mozzarella and tomato bruscetta in an herb crêpe. Now I’ve had crêpe-filled desserts before, but never had an unrolled crêpe topped with salad, as I got to sample the Caesar and Summer Cobb Crêpes. I liked the fact that everything I tasted was healthy, but filling, with the perfect size portions, not too small or large.

I must admit that dessert is my weakness, and I absolutely loved the Country Crêpe (strawberry, banana, and nutella), which also came with a side of ice cream.

I always thought of crêpe as a light dinner, but I became full very fast. I thought it was a great experience to try a few dishes amongst the three of us, and liked the fact that crêpes can be easily shared..

I’d like to give a special thanks to Owner/Chef Chris Boyce, Mallory and Kyla. The Yorkville Crêperie team was genuinely friendly and open to ideas and comments. I wish them the best of luck!
