READ THIS: Jacques Fath by Jeromine Savignon

If you are around Peachy Deegan's age, you are too young to know about the days when Jacques Fath was in his prime, dictating glamour to the world. His brand is still alive though and we look forward to covering its scents!

In this work by Jeromine Savignon, we learn of the genius behind the designer and see how much he accomplished in his short life of fun, fashion and more in Paris, brought to New York and the rest of the world. Born in 1912, Fath established his fashion house beginning in 1936, however, this was not his first career. Peachy Deegan was interested to learn that like her, he had a previous career at a brokerage firm.

This book is filled with fascinating details of fashion in the 1940s and 1950s, and similar to the recent news with Michael Jackson, the reader is left to wonder what would have become of this talent had he lived a longer life. Past the story, fabulous pictures follow of the man and his designs. Among his accomplishments were winning the Neiman Marcus award in 1949, designing Rita Hayworth's wedding gown, and outfitting Marlene Dietrich as well as many guests attending the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth in 1953.
