Biba Fox Background:

Biba started out her boutique in Bombay in 1994, a self taught jewellery designer/ maker she sold unique pieces of jewellery. She also stocked new and upcoming designers work in her boutique and collaborated with other designer/ makers.

She designed jewellery for fashion shows, designers featured at the IGEDO fashion show in Dusseldorf and the Smirnoff Fashion show held in Bombay. Her clients included Bollywood Movie and TV Stars, Socialites and Miss India pageant winners. She ran her boutique for 4 years, but took time out to develop new skills and decided to go back to studying.

She enrolled on the Foundation course at Central Saint Martins in London. After 4 exhilarating years of experimentation and learning she graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design with a B.A. in Art & Design. Since then she has been involved in setting up Art Exhibitions and working in the events field. She set up Biba Fox Jewellery in 2008 and now continues to work within her creative practice.

Work:

Biba creates sculptural pieces woven with sterling silver and semi-precious stone. They are delicate forms that adorn the body.

She presented a few pieces from her new range of Bespoke Jewellery for the head at Treasure. The woven metal fascinators sit effortlessly on one’s head gleaming and sparkleling with Swarovski crystals and feather detail.

You can find one off, limited editions and made to order pieces at Biba Fox Jewellery.

All the pieces are handmade in the UK. Her presentation boxes are all made from recycled card with papers from sustainable resources.
