Last Wednesday morning I purchased the best baguette I have ever bought in this country (USA). Dinner at the parent restaurant next door two weeks ago on my birthday had provided a thoroughly satisfying foundation for a memorable evening, and thus one morning last week I wondered if Cognac Brasserie's bakery would provide a satisfying foundation to my breakfast. My curiosity was well rewarded, the baguette's crust was flaky and crusty, and the crumb (inside) was light and airy yet easily supported the nutty bits of Comte cheese & red seedless grapes upon which I nibbled for breakfast in the office that morning.
