DAYLIGHT: City Streets

The Department of Transportation here has handed out free bicycle helmets to all New York City residents that swung by their booth during City Streets these past three saturdays.

Park Avenue has been closed to cars from 72nd Street, south down to the Brooklyn Bridge, offering everyone that wants to jog, bike, walk and rollerblade the chance to do it without cars!

A great idea by Mayor Bloomberg, it was quite a success. Whom You Know has heard that the Department of Transportation will continue to give out helmets next Saturday, August 29 in Central Park by the bandshell.
