Lincoln and New York October 9, 2009 - March 25, 2010

From the New York Historical Society:
This October the New-York Historical Society will celebrate the 200th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birth with our largest and most ambitious exhibition ever: Lincoln and New York. Our entire main floor will be dedicated to the show, revealing the crucial, but as yet unexamined relationship between our greatest president and our nation's greatest city.

As we ready our galleries for an exhibition that will push the limits of historical knowledge on a subject of such great consequence for our city and our nation, we ask for your help. With a new grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, we have secured all but $200,000 needed to mount this $2.8 million landmark exhibition. It is a true testament to our 16th president that even in these difficult times, we have received such an outpouring of support. Please note that all contributions will be recognized on our website, and donations of $2,500 and above will also be listed on the exhibition donor wall. Call 212-485-9235 for more information.
