Our panelist:

John Allan’s Club Review

"First of all before I even begin writing this review, let me just say that this place rocked. I walked over a few blocks from my office to one of the “John Allan’s Club’s” convenient locations, this one located adjacent to Grand Central Terminal on 46th and Vanderbuilt. There are three other locations on Manhattan (Downtown Club, Saks Fifth Avenue, and the Tribeca Club) as well as their new Chicago location..

As soon as I walked in I was greeted cheerfully by Patty Chen, the director of operations at the Midtown Club. She explained to me that I would be receiving the “John Allan’s Full Service Treatment which included a scalp massaging shampoo, conditioning, hot towel treatment, haircut, manicure, shoe shine and beverage”. I began with a relaxing and thorough scalp massaging shampoo and conditioning treatment that was so relaxing I almost forgot where I was. This was quickly followed by the hot towel treatment for 3-4 minutes, making the pressures of the day disappear. I was brought to my seat for my haircut with Alcia that coincided with a manicure from Amaly. This was my first manicure ever and I can assure you that it wont be my last one after the meticulous fashion in which Amaly manicured my hands. I had my hair length relatively at a longer length and needed it to be trimmed before a wedding I was in this weekend. Alicia did a perfect job in cleaning my hair and cutting it down to the perfect length. Following my haircut George was kind enough to give my shoes a good polishing.

After my Full Service Treatment, Patty gave me a tour of the premises which included a cigar room, bar (customers are welcome to keep their own choice of sprits at the bar upon returning to the club), pedicure room, pool table and massage room. She also explained to me the options of getting an unlimited 1 year membership for a very reasonable price or simply coming in as a pay per service customer when you are ready.

All in all, the John Allan’s experience was the perfect way for a working man in New York city to relax, pamper themselves, and de-stress all at the same time. I can tell you for sure that John Allan has a new client in me."
