August 1, 2009: Seen at this week’s Mercedes-Benz Polo Challenge 2009 at Blue Star Jets Field were Michael Lohan and Erin Muller, who were mingling in the VIP tent when Dina Lohan arrived with a group of girlfriends. Apparently the two exes can’t play nice, as Michael and Erin left almost immediately after Dina’s arrival. Also in attendance was The Real Housewives of New York City’s Kelly Killoren Bensimon.

WHAT: ILLY ISSIMO PRESENTS WEEK THREE OF THE MERCEDES-BENZ POLO CHALLENGE AT BLUE STAR JETS FIELD ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 1ST, 2009

This summer’s matches promise to be some of the most exciting in the sport of polo. The sport’s greatest athletes will compete for one of polo’s most treasured prizes. Returning as well will be some of the East End’s most high-profile and influential audience of VIPs, celebrities and media.

The season commenced on Saturday, July 18th and will continue for six consecutive Saturdays, ending August 22nd. Equuleus (14) defeated Black Watch (8) on Saturday, August 1, 2009.

Season partners include: Mercedes-Benz, Piaget, Blue Star Jets, Coca-Cola, Stoli Elit, Riva Yachts, illy issimo, Diamond Teak, Rose’s Mojito Cocktail Mix and OPTYX by gruen.

Polo Ralph Lauren will return this summer as the exclusive apparel retailer with an onsite shop at the Bridgehampton Polo matches. Evocative of the spirit and heritage of Polo, the shop will feature Ralph Lauren’s Black Watch collection and The World of Polo Fragrance. Spectators visiting the Ralph Lauren shop will have a great view of the polo matches and be able to enter to win a Polo lesson with Black Watch team member Nacho Figueras. Polo Ralph Lauren became an official sponsor of the Black Watch Polo team in 2007, providing apparel created exclusively for the polo players.

A portion of proceeds from the Mercedes-Benz Bridgehampton Polo Challenge will go to South Fork Breast Cancer Coalition. The VIP tent will host an invitation-only cocktail reception for exclusive guests each Saturday afternoon during the tournament. Matches will take place from 4PM to 6PM.
