The inspiration
“For me, the universe of BLV Eau de Parfum II is the universe of matter in transparency”, declares the Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier, “in creating this new fragrance, I wanted to make a great perfume; one not inspired by the transparency of the 1990s, but which embodied matter in the Bulgari style, with richness, presence and a great sophistication. This is a positive, reassuring fragrance, able to bring opposites together: freshness and naturalness on the one side, and a highly intense perfuming effect on the other. Since the beginning of this project, I wanted to embody a form of tenderness appealing to all women, one which also has the eternal feminine about it, and I did it with amber, with the element I call ‘amber sand’, and musk. Then I wanted to add a little light with star anise, fresh violets and some moist elements; these elements bring a breath of freshness, creating the contrast and bringing the whole fragrance to life. While creating, I was thinking of the Little Prince, who always runs after the simplest things, but things that are in fact very real and essential. I wanted a fragrance that would bring us all back to fundamental values, something the perfume sector has rather lost today, and I wanted a different outlook...So this creation is based on essential things, on the foundation stones of perfumery: amber, iris, musks, wood, patchouli flowers, violets. All major elements of perfumery which, for the occasion, have been processed differently thanks to new forms of technology, and thanks also to all the heritage of the past 20 years, in terms of transparency, the lightning inspiration of each new debut and the work done also on naturalness. The work of a naturalist and of an expert at the same time: this is the approach I adopted to transform nature into fragrance and thence – for Bulgari – into an elegant and sophisticated scent.”

The fragrance
BLV Eau de Parfum II unfolds with the vibrant head notes of luminous violet delicately blended with subtle, airy hints of star anise and liquorice and brightened by fresh, light, frosty mandarin.
The heart notes conceal an unexpected soul - iris absolute, an exclusive floral touch – blended with a warm, woody base enhanced by Haitian vetiver, which gives BLV Eau de Parfum II an elegant exotic touch. Before evolving into the base notes, the fragrance is enriched with intense patchouli flower, an original diversion that accompanies the final moments of the essence.

BLV Eau de Parfum II culminates with an unusual sensual accord of three amber notes, where the sensuous caress of benzoin blends with the suggestive intensity of ambergris and the cistus flower and ends with the velvety tones of musk, the last irresistible sensation.


The bottle
BLV Eau de Parfum II comes in an extraordinary bottle, a genuine design object that is the result of sophisticated stylistic research. Peachy Deegan thinks it is absolutely stunning and unique among her perfume collection.

Its striking design alternates geometric shapes and curvy surfaces to evoke the idea of a modern temple combining austere classicism and sinuous, daring contemporary style. The choice of materials reflects the distinctive qualities of the fragrance: glass represents its pure, genuine character while silver embodies its luminosity and intensity.

The cap is engraved with the unmistakable Bulgari – Bulgari double logo with an elegant new twist, which marks the beginning of a precious new modern aesthetic code.
