Diane Von Furstenberg's Oasis Spring 2010 Collection Deemed a Success by Peachy Deegan of Whom You Know
Everything about this show embodied what we believe Fashion Week should be.
The minute Peachy Deegan sat down she loved the set and background-it reminded her of the Temple of Dendur at the Met- and she walked in just beside Bill Cunningham. Attractive music (not always the case!) pumped up the crowd in the minutes before the show and it began with Madonna's Erotica. Models strutted to the beat with their hair adorned with small flowered wreaths to the side while they were clad in fabulous looks from bathing suits to flowing dresses.
The Diane Von Furstenberg Oasis Spring 2010 Collection is "Looking into Antiquity...for effortless beauty." -Diane Von Furstenberg.
She was inspired by the desert, the rise of a phoenix, and "delights were in the details." How we love details at Whom You Know! The palette was Pre-Raphaelite with muted colors that stand out among the crowd.
We quote from the program:
"...wearing a drop-waisted gown draped fluidly in grey silk or a sun kissed cotton voile column adorned with descending daisies." Grey and daisies! How Miss Porter's!
Wonderful Display of True Beauty, Diane Von Furstenberg!
