The Green Room
The Green Room, a scripted drama based on the epicenter of all thing fashion, won Best Television Pilot at the Cinema City International Film Festival. The festival
plays host to the “who’s-who” of the television filmmaking industry.
This year Reverie Pictures and their new scripted drama “Green Room”,
loosely based on the real life company, The Green Room NYC, a Fashion
Sales/PR Agency in New York City’s fashion district took the award for
best pilot of the entire festival.
Hand-chosen to appear at both the New York TV Festival and CCIF, the
Reverie Pictures pilot has been gaining huge attention with more
festivals calling and requesting the show. Director and President of
Reverie Pictures, Vince Parenti has been in the industry for a number
of years and is no stranger to praise. His last feature “The Longest
Yard Sale”, won the Silver Award for Best Low-Budget Film at Houston’s
Worldfest Film Festival in 2006.
Parenti decided to change his focus into television where could more
vastly delve into a subject and explore it from beginning to end. The
inspiration for his latest drama came from his muse and wife, Amanda
Parenti. As true life owner of The Green Room NYC, she has seen her
share of drama that has been unscripted “After sharing an office with
Amanda for the past few years, I could write 1,000 episodes” said
Parenti, “the behind the scenes lives in the fashion industry are
much different, and more interesting than people believe them to be”.
Reverie Pictures, is a LLC and was founded in 2005 as the brainchild
of President and Founder, Vince Parenti. Parenti created the
production company in order to leave his 9 to 5 job and fulfill his
life long dream of creating something from nothing. Vince was inspired
at an early age by how deeply storytelling can affect someone after
watching "The Outsiders" in 1983. Reverie pictures first focused on
movies and has recently turned its focus towards the television medium
in order to fully explore more genres.
