La Mer introduces The Treatment Powder Foundation SPF 15 and Peachy Deegan Loves It! Whom You Know Recommends It.

The Max Huber Research Labs designed La Mer’s gemstone-infused Skincolor Collection to help capture light and transfer its energy to the skin, continuously enhancing the benefits of La Mer skincare. Providing a translucent color palette, La Mer Skincolor allows the skin to be washed with light to invisibly and completely smooth away imperfections, revealing a naturally radiant finish. Today, the Max Huber Research Labs unveils the next generation of Skincolor: The Treatment Powder Foundation SPF 15.

Upon review, Peachy Deegan concludes that the Treatment Powder Foundation SPF 15 is outstanding and is the best makeup available. Never has she seen a formula that blends so well and feels like satin on your skin! From the moment she opened the box and took the smart white compact out of its smooth white leather case, Peachy Deegan anticipated how beautiful she would be upon using the product inside. La Mer did not disappoint! The mirrored compact contains a miracle circle of product inside that solved all skin imperfections on Peachy's face, leaving her with flawless coverage that blended perfectly. Whom You Know recommends using this in conjunction with La Mer's fabulous concealer, that works in a similar fashion:

La Mer developed this luxurious lightweight powder foundation with weightless color and La Mer’s remarkable skincare properties to visibly transform the complexion and complement the benefits of Crème de la Mer. Gemstones, including tourmaline and malachite, capture light energy, while creating a unique transparent color palette that optically erases imperfections to reveal a naturally flawless complexion.

La Mer’s signature Radiant Ferment, created with precious marine and plant extracts which have been bio-fermented, immediately and continuously imparts radiance and restores the look of clarity and brightness.

Developed with symmetrically shaped coated particles, The Treatment Powder Foundation magnetically attracts and adheres to the skin for non-settling, color true, full and flexible coverage. Airspun seaborne particles—the lightest on earth-- create an imperceptible finish that makes skin look flawless yet completely unmade up. Helps protect skin with SPF 15.

The Treatment Powder Foundation SPF 15 is available in six uniquely luminous shades (matched to the color palette of Skincolor’s Fluid Treatment and Crème Treatment Foundations) providing a full, long-lasting yet natural and imperceptible coverage. Choose from Ivory, Caramel, Linen, Crème, Sand, Buff and Honey.

Our beautiful people on the panel thought:

I am in my 30’s but still feel like I have the skin of a teenager. My skin tends to be oily, shiny, and prone to acne. I never use a liquid foundation because inevitably my skin looks greasier and shinier after I put it on, and also I break out within a day or two of using it. Therefore all I tend to use on my face is a light translucent loose mineral powder. I am usually happy with this except that sometimes I would like a bit more coverage in certain areas, and also I find that the effects don’t last all day and reapplication is necessary. When I had the chance to try out La Mer Treatment Powder Foundation I was hoping for the best!

The Treatment Power Foundation is a silky smooth powder, described as containing lightweight “airspun seaborne particles” and also gemstones such as tourmaline and malachite. The pressed powder comes in a compact that will easily fit in one’s purse, and with both a sponge a small puff applicator. I have now been wearing this product for three days, and what I really like is the flexibility in coverage. Even in applying just a small amount of powder, I found it blends easily, helps to minimize the appearance of pores, and gives a natural matte finish. If the user desires more coverage she can simple apply more wherever needed. I truly appreciate the flexible quality of this product, since my main goal in using make-up is to look natural. After putting on the powder my usual blush easily blended in on top of it. I noticed that when I was wearing this my skin felt very soft to the touch, and also that my face was definitely less shiny for the rest of the day, even after spending time sitting outside in the sun. However because the compact is portable, I did take advantage of this and do a quick touch up after work prior to heading out for dinner with a friend. After using this for a few days my skin has had no breakouts!

La Mer treatment powder foundation comes with an SPF 15, and the staff will help you find the right shade for you. It provides a flexible degree of coverage depending on how you apply it, and for me it worked very well to subtly even out skin tone, minimize pores and control shine. It is part of a Skincolor de La Mer line, and depending on your needs you may want to also try the Fluid or Crème Foundation. However for women like me who prefer lighter make-up and coverage, it seems that the Treatment Powder Foundation is a perfect solution.

I once mentioned that La Mer seems to have captured and bottled the very essence of radiance, it looks like they've managed to capture this same radiance in powder form too with their Treatment Powder Foundation SPF 15. This formula, as with the range of La Mer skincare and "skincolor" line, contains their signature Radiant Ferment, a
blend of marine and plant extracts, which have been shown to impart a clarity and brightness to the skin unlike any other. The addition of gemstone particles such as tourmaline and malachite helps capture light energy, thus further enhancing skin's glow.

The texture of this powder foundation is very light and airy, and depending on whether you're applying with the sponge applicator that's included (which will give you extra coverage) or with La Mer's The Powder Brush (which gives a very light and imperceptible finish), you can alter the level of coverage that you want and it is extremely blendable. This product feels luxurious and soothing when applied
with the brush, not to mention it's also easier to apply this way too.

I especially appreciate that unlike other foundations, this doesn't accentuate the lines on my face once it sets and it has real lasting power . The powder formula also seems to help normalize and balance oil production on my combination skin, hence no dry, powdery patches right alongside shiny, oily spots. An added bonus is the protection of SPF 15.

One thing I do have to note though, is that this foundation tends to go on lighter than it appears in the compact, so you may want to go a shade or two darker. This is especially true for those of us who've built up that summer tan. Again, if you are going for a light coverage with the use of a brush, this isn't a factor as it blends in almost imperceptibly, but leaves behind a light glow. The Treatment Powder SPF 15 currently comes in 10 shades, thus making it a cinch to find a shade that's just right for you.
