SNEAK PEAK DRESSED DOCUMENTARY SCREENS AT THE SOHO HOUSE
Onerock Moving Pictures screened an intimate sneak peak of their documentary DRESSED to New York’s tastemakers and press at the uber-chic Soho House members’ club and hotel in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District in New York City on September 10, 2009.
DRESSED Director David Swajeski and Executive Producer Maryanne Grisz invited selected key New York influencers to view a sneak peak of their documentary about the inspiring story of fashion designer Nary Manivong.
There were two screenings held and a Q & A that followed after each screening in the screening room of the Soho House with Director David Swajeski, Executive Producer Maryanne Grisz, Fashion Designer Nary Manivong and selected members of the cast.
The cast of DRESSED has top industry experts from Fern Mallis, Senior Vice President of IMG Fashion; Ohio designer Nanette Lepore; Mickey Boardman of Paper Magazine; Author Mary Gehlhar “Fashion Designer’s Survival Guide”; Simon Collins, Dean of Fashion for Parsons, The New School for Design; Industry Consultant George Furlan; Simon Doonan, Creative Director of Barneys New York, author of four books and columnist for The New York Observer; Stylist Robert Verdi; President of The Fashion Group International, Margaret Hayes to fashion writer Lynn Yaeger.

DRESSED is the documentary about Laotian-American fashion designer, Nary Manivong, who defies the odds of a broken childhood and homelessness to follow his dream of showing his collection at New York’s Fashion Week and launching his brand.
DRESSED is directed by David Swajeski, with executive producer Maryanne Grisz, both of onerock moving pictures.

Maryanne Grisz is a producer specializing in art, film, music and fashion and directs global ventures from concept to completion.
Fashion events include shows and press events during Fashion Weeks in Milan and Paris, in the casino industry, with publications, retailers and charities. Some partners include Nicole Miller, St. John Knits, Macy’s, Lord and Taylor, Bloomingdales, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Esquire, and Vanity Fair.

Director
David is producer and director of film, TV, documentaries and online videos. He is co-founder, partner and creative director of the multi-faceted design / marketing firm Location 8 and founder and partner of onerock moving pictures.
David is currently directing the documentary, “DRESSED”, the story of a young clothing designer, Nary Manivong, who defied the odds of a broken family and homelessness to reach his ultimate dream, a show of his collection at New York fashion week. DRESSED will have a multi-platform release including web, mobile and an educational college tour. The web series will follow the progress of Nary as he plans his next collection, in addition to commentary from the cast of the film and a look at some of New York’s new up and coming designers.
During his professional career, David has produced and directed a wide range of videos, commercials and long form projects including “Change the World” the intimate portraits of everyday heroes, whose stories are chosen from winners of the national Jefferson Awards, the highest award for public service in America. He directed the online daytime drama, 4 O’Clock 4 Play, an online daily five minute show that combined storytelling, advertising and commerce. His project work includes advertising campaigns, online content, TV projects and live events for clients including BMW, Fila Sports USA, Dupont, J.P. Morgan Chase, The Presidents’ Student Service Awards, GORE-TEX, The Nemours Foundation and Mercedes-Benz.
