Wine Cellar Sorbets Recommended by Whom You Know

If you read our Champagne Wishes column, you can see we are quite enthusiastic about Champagne and other fun liquids to imbibe. Peachy Deegan loves Champagne so much she read about the Widow Cliquot and reviewed it in Read This. Well, did you know you can eat Champagne too? This really makes our Friday afternoon! As she writes, Peachy is actually eating Champagne: in the form of Wine Cellar Sorbets, that is! We love love love love LOVE it!!!

The idea for Wine Cellar Sorbets came about while Bret Birnbaum and David Zablocki, both wine lovers and childhood friends from Queens, New York were brainstorming menu ideas for their wine bar/restaurant they hoped to open in Brooklyn, NY. Dave came across wine sorbet while he was a chef out in Big Sur, California back in 2000 and had been making it ever since. Naturally Dave figured it would make a great addition for their wine bar. When Bret heard the idea, not only did he love it, he decided that it should be the focus of their new venture. Instead of opening a bar and restaurant, Dave and Bret decided to bring this wonderful combination of food and wine to wine lovers through gourmet stores, fine restaurants and caterers throughout the country. Right now they are carried in over 300 locations including Whole Foods, Wegman’s, Fresh Market, Morton Williams, and Earth Fare.

Wine Cellar Sorbets' mission is to produce the finest quality sorbets made from finished wines from around the world. The main ingredient is fine wine! Their flavors are based on the vintages, varietals and viticulture regions from where the wines were produced. Therefore each flavor is truly unique, never massed produced and limited in availability. We love this at Whom You Know, a genuine commitment to quality. Their goal is to preserve as much of the wine's unique qualities as possible by adding minimal amounts of non-wine ingredients. The resulting sorbets are incredibly creamy in texture with absolutely no fat! They are:

* All-Natural
* Fat Free
* Non-Alcoholic
* Dairy Free
* Gluten Free

And not only does it come in Champagne, but Whom You Know also recommends it in Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Rose, and Ruby Port. Mimosa, Riesling, Sake and Sangria are also available. This could be the perfect solution to having a party at your desk! Whom You Know strongly recommends Wine Cellar Sorbets!
