DAYLIGHT: Afternoon Tea with Gordon Ramsay and The London NYC

Now that Peachy Deegan has perfect hair, she must go somewhere fabulous! What better place to visit than The London NYC hotel and have afternoon tea at Maze by Gordon Ramsay? That is exactly what she did for a perfectly pleasant afternoon.

Maze is a wonderfully classy, modern and hip place to dine in an extraordinary way. The decor is clean, crisp and welcoming. An awesome chandelier hangs above the bar (how we love chandeliers!) and when Peachy sat down for tea, a lovely three-tiered plate was arranged with Freshly Cut Sandwiches, Scones and Pastries.

This is a delight for any age. Surely we all had tea parties as children with our grandmothers (Peachy did with her grandmother featured here on Whom You Know), bunnies and bears and even a young girl would enjoy this delectable little feast. In fact, we kept looking for Eloise who we think might even come here for tea, it is so great!

If you are a hardcore American tea drinker, let us elucidate you! You must try the English breakfast tea at The London. The flavor on your palette is just perfect and once you've had it, you won't be able to drink tea from this side of the ocean again. It came in a personal teapot with an elegant tea cup. Of the freshly cut sandwiches, we liked the smoked salmon the best. The scones were perfectly fresh and the pastries were to die for; particularly, the Fraisier cake of raspberry, lime and cream.

Have tea at Maze by Gordon Ramsay at the London! It will restore civility to your life in this bustling city of ours and warm you up in this cold weather.
