DAYLIGHT: Peachy Deegan Views Read My Pins at the Museum of Arts and Design

Madeline Albright, Ambassador to the United Nations from 1993-1997 and Secretary of State from 1997-2001, has her gorgeous collection of pins on display for the first time currently at the Museum of Arts and Design in Columbus Circle.

We first told you about this:

It will remain on view until January but we recommend taking a look at your earliest convenience as it is a lovely exhibit.  Madeline's collection has a wide range of sentiment including pins that remind her of her daughters to campaign pins to causes and flowers.  On the second floor of the Museum of Arts and Design, Read My Pins has over 300 pins in the collection with the Eagle/Secretary of State having the most monetary value.

Her sense of humanity shines through the collection and the pins gave her the ability to connect with the world through their symbols....especially we at Whom You Know think that it all comes down to relationships!  It includes fruits and vegetables, frogs and snakes, spiders, sealife, stars and stripes, fun and friendly animals and many more.

Some of our favorite at Whom You Know included:
*Breaking the Glass Ceiling (showing the glass ceiling in its ideal condition-shattered)
*Bejeweled Mickey
*Dalmation
*Golden Palm Tree
*Pieces of the Berlin Wall
*Katrina Pin
*Green Hot Air Balloon
*Accessories including Ruby Slippers, Glasses, Hats, Bags

Do not miss the Katie Couric interview of Albright that also is on display.
We hope you enjoyed this as much as we did!
