Nightlight: Scenterprises and The Perfume Studio
This week part of the Whom You Know panel had an extrasensory experience at The Perfume Studio. We believe this is a unique, valuable experience that each of you should try. What fun it is to create your own perfume! This is a fabulous idea for a theme for almost any event that hosts people with a nose. Additionally, wine and crudites were served to clean our palette and heighten our senses. Also to clean our nose palette, we sniffed coffee beans. Led by Joanne, the night we attended was fun, educational and classy.
For all of you perfume and fragrance aficionados out there, this "Fragrance Journey" workshop is an experience you simply can't pass up! As we at Whom You Know eagerly settled into a recent workshop, it felt like we were a team of master perfumers at play here. Our gracious hostess/fragrance expert, Joanne, started us off with a quick 11 question quiz that helped us hone in on which fragrance category/family (woody, fresh, floral or oriental) we tend to have a stronger personal preference for. Next came the more fun and exploratory part, we were handed a series of blotter strips containing 18 different blends of fragrances (created by expert perfumers) that
fall in the realm of the 4 different fragrance families and comprising either the top notes, the mid notes or the base notes. Some of the scents brought back fond, distant memories, helping us hone in further on what we liked or didn't like. We tried to deciper the different combinations and elements of each blend, what inspired it, and eventually we each narrowed our choices of favorite blends to about 3 or 4, which Joanne then mixed and formulated into our own unique, bespoke perfume, an "eau de me", if you will. Each person's custom perfume mix was wildly different from the next person's, as you can imagine all the many permutations that can arise from just the 18 different blends. And making this extra special, we got to choose from an assortment of pretty bottles and atomizers to house our new perfume and we each assigned a name to our perfume! The
newly-christened perfume name and the specific blends that went into that perfume is then recorded on a registration certificate for us and assigned a unique registration number, which we then can use to simply place refill orders at any time in the future! It's quite nice to have bragging rights to having your very own perfume!

Much like a “wine tasting,” The Perfume Studio invites you to a unique Custom Perfume Experience. A Fragrance Expert takes guests on an olfactory fragrance ‘journey’ to discover 18 different, exquisite perfume blends. Each blend is created by a world-famous perfumer and is designed to be worn in combination or by itself.
At the custom perfume seminar, guests evaluate the fragrances by dipping blotter strips into perfume blends. At the end of the interactive, creative, informational event each guest narrows down the three or four blends they love which becomes their personal ‘formula.’ We create and mix the signature perfume and guests leave with their own Personal Perfume in beautifully packaged designer color purse sprays. They name or ‘brand’ their own Custom Creation, receive a Certificate of Registration, and their formula is stored in our database for reordering. This is fun, innovative and a great gift experience!

The Perfume Studio Seminars are ideal for Bridal Showers, Ladies Nights Out, Corporate Events (both male and female employees), client and spouses programs and as team building workshops. Excellent for Spas and Salons as an ‘added value’ to offer a ‘Bespoke Perfume’ to their clients after a massage or facial.
Seminars will be held every Tuesday in September and October from 6.00pm – 7.30pm
