NIKE INTRODUCES THE SISTER SERIES FOR SPRING 2010, ITS LIGHTEST AND MOST FLEXIBLE FOOTWEAR EVER WITH NIKE DIAMONDFLX AND FLYWIRE TECHNOLOGY

In Spring 2009, Nike revolutionized the world of women’s training footwear. Recognizing that women don’t move in just one direction while working out, Nike introduced the Sister Series, built specifically to support multidirectional movement.

It was the lightest, most flexible footwear Nike had ever made, enabling female athletes of all levels to train to be their best.  It came in a range of sleek silhouettes and bold colors, so women didn’t have to compromise on style.

The Sister Series was a game changer. Now Nike has found a way to make it even better.

Introducing the Fly Sisters for Spring 2010, a lighter and more flexible collection of women’s training footwear that helps her train to be stronger and faster.

Nike brought superior product innovation to its two core technologies in the Sister One Series – Nike DiamondFLX and Flywire – to create training shoes that mimic natural foot movement more closely than ever.  This results in a stronger, more flexible foot and a greater activation of muscles up the kinetic chain to strengthen muscles beyond just the foot.

Nike DiamondFLX is the most innovative outsole and midsole technology Nike has produced. Created from insights found after extensive research conducted at the Nike Sports Research Lab, Nike DiamondFLX midsoles and outsoles work together as a system and are siped in a diamond-shape pattern to allow for the multi-directional movements that training requires.

The line incorporates new configurations of Flywire, a revolutionary lightweight support system that uses thin and incredibly strong fibers to provide support where the foot needs it most. Flywire has allowed Nike designers to create some of the lightest footwear to date while actually improving the stability of the shoe.

The following three styles make-up the Fly Sister collection for Spring 2010:

Nike Zoom Fly Sister One+: Nike’s lightest, most flexible training shoe ever, the Nike Zoom Fly Sister One+ is ideal for strong athletes training to be the best. It’s 16 percent lighter and more than doubles the multidirectional flexibility of its predecessor with 38 sipes on the outsole compared to 17. Flywire on the upper provides support exactly where she needs it. The new sockliner features a softer density, women’s-specific foam and DiamondFLX in the forefoot for a great feel under the foot and a low-profile fit.

Nike Zoom Fly Quick Sister+: With a sleek silhouette, the Nike Zoom Fly Quick Sister+ is the ultimate essential training shoe, suitable for a variety of activities. The Zoom Air unit in the heel provides a cushioned ride, while the updated sandwich mesh upper offers lightweight breathability and comfort. Flywire in the forefoot provides support, and Nike DiamondFLX on the outsole enhances multidirectional flexibility.

Nike Shox Fly Zipsister+: Those accustomed to the cushioning, comfort and lateral stability of the DuraDS Nike Shox platform will love the Nike Shox Fly Zipsister+. An updated mesh upper provides breathability and ventilation, and Flywire provides lightweight support where the foot needs it. The forefoot features seamless technology for reduced irritation and flexibility.
