Kimberly Received the Most Votes from the Public at Daffys.com, Winning the Lease to a Luxury Apartment for a Fraction of the Cost
NEW YORK, NY. (October 1, 2009) –Daffy’s, a leading fashion retailer in the tri-state area, is pleased to announce the winner of “The Daffy’s Apartment” Contest, Kimberly Dawn Neumann, a dating and relationship writer and a Broadway performer, most recently seen in “A Chorus Line.” Kimberly was selected as one of the five finalists from 2,867 in-store video submissions and was chosen as the winner by the public through online voting from September 7 through September 16th at Daffys.com. With a landslide win, Kimberly will receive a rental lease for a fully furnished luxury apartment at One 7th Avenue South in Manhattan’s West Village, at a fraction of the cost. “The Daffy’s Apartment” is managed by REcap Partners and has a suggested rental price of $7,000 per month, but Kimberly will receive an amazing Daffy’s discount by paying a mere $700 per month.
With over 9,800 votes at Daffys.com, the public chose among these finalists: Nolan Myerson, a trader by day, a rapper for his video submission; Dartanion London, a working comedian; Terrell Lane, an aspiring gospel singer with an original song; Tom Protulipac, a Bronx theater lover, and of course Kimberly Dawn Neumann. However, in the end, Kimberly wowed the judges and the public with a “Daffy’s ditty ,” describing herself as “a gal just like Carrie from Sex and the City,” yet with “two books to her name and four Broadway shows” she still can’t afford the luxuries of life. Currently crammed in her small studio in Midtown Manhattan, Kimberly will now be able to entertain her many New York City friends and her family from Annapolis, MD. The win is also extremely important as Kimberly recently lost her health insurance during recovery from her second knee surgery.
