Spa Peachy: Whom You Know Recommends Purifying Facials at Townhouse Spa

We gave you an informational piece on Townhouse Spa earlier in Spa Peachy:

After her amazing experience getting a facial at Townhouse Spa, Peachy Deegan and Whom You Know enthusiastically recommend it.  At every point of the experience the utmost attention to detail was given and we love that in any discipline.  The minute she walked in, Peachy was greeted by Elayne Fina, who had a smile on her face and called Peachy by name even though they hadn't met before.  When you walk into Townhouse, you are immediately transported into a zone of serenity that you cannot find on West 56th Street!  We felt so transported we nearly think this post should go in the Take a Trip column.

Everything we saw in the spa was immaculately clean and every effort is made to make the client feel comfortable.  When you arrive, you fill out a one page information sheet on your skin history that is treated confidentially in a well-lit room that boasts a warm atmosphere with beautiful lilies and chimes heard in the background.  When the form is complete you are whisked downstairs to the women's locker room which is not going to be like any locker room you saw in school, even if you went to Miss Porter's.  This locker room at Townhouse Spa has a gorgeous steam room, individual showers, an individual bathroom, and lockers with cute tassel keys.  Amenities are available such as regular bathroom items, tea, water and nuts.  If you lift up the tea you will see it is illuminated from underneath which is a nice touch.  We notice these things at Whom You Know.

In your locker you will find a robe, towel and flip flops, so you change for your facial experience.

Krystyna Modlinska, facialist extraordinaire, brought Peachy Deegan to a private room where she next changed into a towel dress that is similar to a strapless dress although it is made of terrycloth!  Peachy got under the covers and laid down on the table, so excited for her facial.

The experience was exquisite and everyone in Manhattan, men and women, should treat themselves to this.  Peachy had the Purifying Facial, which is great for congested skin to clean your pores and brighten your face. It includes red light therapy with ultrasound.

Krystyna began by using a pumpkin enzyme scrub on Peachy's face and it smelled just as lovely as it felt.  It was so October!  A steam massage followed and a steamer machine gently blew on Peachy's face during much of the experience.  Next was a hydrating massage with repairing complex which deeply penetrated the skin and felt wonderful.  It hydrated from the inside out and Krystyna put moisturizer on top which is so important for the upcoming winter season.

Peachy was so relaxed she nearly fell asleep.  She felt like a warm starfish on the bottom of the ocean with the warm waves of the ocean washing over her, but in fact she was on the table at Townhouse Spa getting the fabulous fabulous FABULOUS Purifying Facial.  The massaging effect was so continuous and delicate yet effective it did feel like being in the ocean, an ocean on West 56th Street of course.

Next came the extraction, which is a bit less relaxing but a necessary step to optimal skin.  Peachy wore an eyepiece as the bright light was aimed at her face so Krystyna could eliminate all imperfections.  When this was complete, the refreshing mist was sprayed on her face followed by a soothing gel mask.  It was gentle and invigorating, and while it was on the red light ultrasound was rubbed on Peachy's face which killed any bacteria , calmed the skin, and absorbed the product.

Then on her t-zone Peachy had the lavender mask to close pores and on the outside of her face she had the blue mask, as Townhouse Spa and Krystyna are careful to customize the process according to your particular skin needs.

Townhouse Spa used Sonya Dakar and Glotherapeutics products on Peachy Deegan during this treatment.  Sun Damage Treatments are also available.
