One&Only Palmilla (www.oneandonlyresorts.com) was awarded the number one resort in Mexico by readers of Condé Nast Traveler at the 2009 annual Readers’ Choice Awards. This is the fifth time the property has been honored with this award since its opening in 2004. A favorite retreat for Hollywood celebrities and savvy travelers alike, the resort recently completed a $30 million renovation and expansion to welcome a new generation to Los Cabos.

Lorraine Bracco, Emmy nominated actress for her role on HBO’s Sopranos and Alberto Trevino, Secretary of Tourism of the State of Baja California, presented Edward Steiner with the first place honor. “On behalf of the Tourism Board, I wanted to say thank you to Edward Steiner for bringing luxury to Los Cabos,” said Trevino.

One&Only Palmilla’s number one ranking in the “Top Resorts - Mexico” category will be featured in the magazine’s November issue on newsstands October 20, 2009. Awards are derived from the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice survey. This year, 25,008 readers voted on more than 10,000 properties and destinations.
