How would you describe your whomyouknow.com?

Whom You Know is known for featuring Manhattan’s best in class & most interesting: people, places, events, books, fashion, restaurants and a general guide to better living & pursuing excellence in life! We have featured prominent brands, large and small, among our 70 plus columns, all of which are written from a review perspective. We only write about quality and we do not feature anything we do not care for; we only write about what we like!

We write about fashion, movers and shakers, culture, business, restaurants, personal products, gadgets, prominent happenings in Manhattan, books and charities the most so far. In fashion, we have dress of the week, shoe of the week for men and women, a jewelry column, a hat column and a glasses column. We write about things that go like cars, planes and boats. Take a Trip is our general travel column and we have specific travel columns for London, Connecticut, Florida and Ireland. Champagne Wishes is our column where we review alcohol. We have a growing gift column, sports column, movie column, spa column and auction/collectibles column. We collaborate with a dentist, a dry cleaner and a hair stylist, (all three high-end) all of which we personally endorse. Several other columns are growing and still others are in development.

Whom You Know has grown over 8 times since January and recently I interviewed Anna Wintour!

Recently we reached our 1,600th post!

How did the site start?

One day in January I thought I would start writing about notable people, places and events I knew of and it has just grown exponentially.

Where do you see the site going?

It has organic growth and I see the existing columns becoming more in depth and do not see as many columns growing at the rate they have been since inception as we are committed to a focus on quality.

What‘s been the most viewed post on your site?

I don’t know I am too busy writing new pieces! The interview with Anna Wintour from the Metropolitan Museum of Art has gotten a lot of attention as we met the day that Model As Muse debuted. Recently our coverage of Fashion Week has received many hits.

In terms of travel the Take a Trip to London has developed a following! We have a lot of readers in the UK.

Since we’re a travel site, we’ll ask a couple of travel-related questions, where’s your favorite place to travel? Why?

Well with a name like Peachy Deegan shouldn’t I have to say Ireland? I like all of Europe that I have seen thus far. The winters up North are awful and then Florida is a great place to be.

Where is your least favorite place to travel? Why?

I don’t go anywhere that I don’t enjoy! I am not very rustic so no where out of the way without amenties…

Are there any under-the-radar places that whomyouknow.com would recommend for travelers in New York?
